Nature Bio Foods India, exporter of authentic organic food grains to the American market has successfully registered all its farming, processing and trading units on the USDA Organic Database (OID).
This had become necessary after USDA Agricultural Marketing Services’ (AMS) federal regulatory program – National Organic Program (NOP) took a decision to terminate its accreditation agreement with Agriculture & Processed Foods Export Development Authority ( APEDA ) and instead directly accredit Certifying Bodies ( CBs ) operating in India.
The USDA decision was communicated in January 2020 with milestones set at July 2021 and July 2022 for final completion. After July 2022 all organic exports to USA from India will need to be certified by a CB duly accredited directly by USDA. Additional information about this transition is here in this link.
