Third-party audits.
1. BRC Audit:
The British Retail Consortium – a third party audit for international standards conducted annually, was held on the 14th and the 15th of June 2019 for Rice and EcoLife plant. The audits were successfully completed and rectified the BRC (issue 8) certification with non-conformities maintaining the A grade for the rice plant. A scope for milling of paddy, processing and packaging of rice and cleaning, sorting, grading and packing of pulses, legumes, grains, flaxseed, sesame, flour and spices in jumbo bags, PP bags, pouches and non-woven bags has been added to the list with the completion of this audit.
2. EIC Audit
The Export Inspection Council of India conducted its half yearly audit on 20th June, 2019 to certify the IPQC (In process quality control) system at Nature Bio Foods. The jury comprised of members of FCI, EIC and IARI. The parameters set for the judgement were general compliance, plant facility, environment, food safety and quality, legal, personnel competency etc.
