Department: Finance & Accounts

Job Purpose:

Review and finalization of quarterly and annual Financial Statements along with all the relevant schedules and notes to accounts. Liaising with Statutory and Internal Auditors and getting quarterly and annual audit done within timelines. Accurate and timely completion of all the activities to ensure timely monthly and quarterly books closing as per Sector / Corporate timelines / guidelines. Compliance with Statutory requirements. Timely MIS reporting. Timely closure of statutory and internal audits on quarterly basis. Monthly review of AOP Vs Actuals variances.

ORGANISATION CHART

Key Accountabilities:

Preparation of Financial Statement and Auditing of the same – Finalization of quarterly and annual financial statements of the Company. Finalization of all the relevant schedules and notes to accounts. Liaising with statutory and Internal auditors and getting quarterly and annual audit done within timelines. Preparation of all the audit workings, providing of details / documents to statutory/internal auditor for quarterly/annual audit and to ensure smooth closure of the respective audits.

Monthly closure of Books of Accounts – Ensure timely and accurately Monthly Closing of Books of Accounts consisting all the activities including provisions, accruals, depreciation, treasury run, inter-co. balance reconciliations etc. Preparation of monthly working of expense provisioning, unbilled revenue, interest and loan working etc. tracking of various type of Loans, Interest and its calculations and other details and completion of Treasury Module Run in SAP on monthly basis, Reconciliation of Vendors ledgers & Customer ledgers, Vendor ledger and Customer ledger open line item clearing on daily/weekly basis.

Monthly MIS and Reporting – Preparation of monthly MIS, Stock Statements for submission to banks. Monitoring receivables and payables on monthly basis and preparation of receivables and payables ageing on monthly basis.

Statutory Compliances – Liaising with Tax team for payment of GST liabilities and providing data for preparation of relevant GST Returns and ensure compliances within due date.

AOP – Preparation of Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Variance analysis of Actuals Vs AOP on quarterly/half yearly/annual basis.

Entries in SAP – Review and posting of invoices, in SAP. Review and posting of vendor’s invoices in SAP. Booking/posting of expenses/liabilities in SAP and posting payment entries/JVs in SAP. Thorough scrutiny and analysis of all vendor and customer GLs, Bank GLs, liabilities booked, expenses incurred, payments made etc. on monthly basis.

Statutory Audit, IFCR Audit, Internal Audit, Tax Audit – to provide workings, supporting documents, all banks Balance confirmations, loan statements, treasury reports etc. required for statutory audits, internal audits, IFCR audits, Tax audits.

Others – Timely providing any information requirement by the Management of the Company / Group Corporate requirement etc.

Key Responsibilities:-

1. Having good knowledge in general accounting such as GST, TDS, Debtor & Creditor Control, reconciliation of account, posting of bills in the SAP software

2. Posting of all bills and cost in SAP

3. To prepare reports.

4. Bank entries, journal entries & reconciliation in SAP

5. Vendor & Customer aging report on weekly basis & reconciliation in SAP.

6. All Customers/Vendor reconciliation with SAP & coordinate with them to sort out discrepancies.

7. G/L account reconciliation

8. Passing debit & credit note in SAP.

9. Other such activities as & when required.

Main Interactions:

• Marketing - Areas of Innovation being critical to the job the role will interact strongly with Marketing team especially category managers and consumer insights group - The role will interact strongly to identify, strategic consumer opportunities and work with marketing.
• Operations - The job would interface strongly with Operations & Quality Control, working in parallel to implement new innovations and support operational productivity
• Procurement / Purchase - Strong interface is a norm for the job with Procurement head on the procurement of various RM/PM. Continuously scout for productivity is a key aspect of the job.
• Planning - Will need to interact with planning team to ensure that the new innovations meet the financial norms as per the AOP plans. Product Development plans must be Financially vetted
• Regulatory, Nutrition Science- The role will also lead the groups responsible for National and international regulations (Exports) and ensure compliance
• 3P & Co-Pack - Ensuring Co-pack and 3P compliance

Key Deliverables

• Build and Drives R&D strategy to ensure product formulations are developed for maximum compatibility across the global market and synergy opportunities being capitalized.
• Leverages deep understanding of upcoming technology in the R&D space and amongst competitors to enhance and develop new product formulations which will cater to next 2 to 3 year's trends specially in staple products market.
• Formulates and directs overall R&D program and SOPs in accordance with organization's growth deliverables and key project objectives.
• Administers overall R&D deliverables with high technical competence and judgment and ensures sound technical expertise are applied while achieving them.
• Design and set up critical R&D projects that are completed within cost and schedule objectives.
• Prepares and correlates short and long term R&D plans and programs for design, construction or alteration of activities
• Ensures research and development of new technologies/products to support growth of business.
• Sets overall departmental vision, goals and priorities based on the financials/objectives of the business
• Direct and guide the team while defining specifications for new or reformulated products.
